German natural cosmetic: Annemarie Börlind – ZZ Sensitive Anti-Stress Regenerative Eye Cream review

All the thoughts and opinions in my posts are my own at the moment. The posts and reviews aren’t sponsored yet and the links I share aren’t affiliate links yet. For the case IF I’ll mark the sponsored/affiliate content.

I’ve made reviews only about Korean cosmetics till now, but though I’m dedicated to K-Beauty skin care I like and use many cosmetics from other brands and countries.

Being 38 yet and using anti-aging cosmetics, I suddenly wanted a product without anti-age qualities. I’ve searched and found.

I live in Germany, so it is logical I would use german cosmetics. German premium cosmetic is very good, though I think it is more conservative compared to Korean. There are many brands I really love their products. One of them I’m going to introduce in this post. And that is ZZ Sensitive Anti-Stress Regenerative Eye Cream from German brand Annemarie Börlind.

About company

The brand and company Annemarie Börlind was established in 1959 as the first German natural cosmetic brand. The founder, Annemarie Lindner suffered many years from skin problems and searched for methods to heal them, when she decided to become a cosmetician. She produced and selled cosmetics with natural ingredients. Her motto was: “What I cannot eat, I won’t apply on my skin.” And so are the products created: with natural extracts from organic production, spring water, free of animal components (except of beewax).

The brand offers skin care lines for every skin type under the slogan: For every skin type, for all needs. Many of them are vegan. The products are distributed in over 30 countries worldwide.

The brand’s headquater is in Calw a little town in the Black Forest region. This is because on the package you can find the signature: “Made in the Black Forest”.

The Black Forest or Schwarzwald in German, is a forested mountain range in South Germany. A very beautiful region with amazing landscapes, picturesque little towns and villages. The region is well known for its mineral springs and developed during centuries to a holiday place and spa resort. Annemarie Börlind claims to use for its products water from an own mineral spring. Here some free photos I’ve found:

About product

It is an eye treatment for sensitive skin. The brand itself describes it as a treatment for women over 30.

The package is very noble.

And the tube. Amount: 15 ml

The cream is of white colour and has a very light texture. Absorbs very quick and doesn’t leave a whitecast like organic creams usually do. Without scent.

Price:  about 22 € and I got discount hhhh))))

I’ve bought it in a department store, but it is also available on Amazon for 26,99$  https://amzn.to/2IhkB0E

It is:

  • 100% vegan
  • no parabens
  • no silicones
  • free of mineral oil derivatives like paraffin and PEG
  • free of synthetic colorings and fragrances
  • without genetically modified plants
  • with prebiotic and probiotic complex
  • contains extract of golden orchid

Ingredients:

AQUA (WATER), LIMNANTHES ALBA SEED OIL (MEADOWFOAM), SQUALANE, CAPRYLYL CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, ALCOHOL, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER (SHEA), GLYCERYL STEARATE, BEHENYL ALCOHOL, BRASSICA CAMPESTRIS STEROLS (RAPESEED), GLYCERIN, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, STEARIC ACID, POTASSIUM CETYL PHOSPHATE, GLYCERYL UNDECYLENATE, INULIN, SORBITAN CAPRYLATE, PALMITIC ACID, SORBITAN STEARATE, ALPHA-GLUCAN OLIGOSACCHARIDE, CURCULIGO ORCHIOIDES ROOT EXTRACT, MAGNOLIA OFFICINALIS BARK EXTRACT, XANTHAN GUM, CHONDRUS CRISPUS POWDER (CARRAGEENAN), TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, SUCROSE COCOATE, FRUCTAN, GLYCINE SOJA OIL (SOYBEAN), MALTODEXTRIN, ARGININE, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, LECITHIN, LACTOBACILLUS FERMENT, TOCOPHEROL, HYDROGENATED PALM GLYCERIDES CITRATE

It should:

Regenerate, smooth and soothe sensitive skin around the eyes and reduce wrinkles. Furthermore, the golden orchid extract should strengthen the skin’s natural protection mechanisms.

My experience

Like I wrote above, I wanted a treatment wthout anti-age effect. I have already some anti-aging cosmetics, but somehow I wanted my skin to rest from all the anti-age stuff. At the same time I was searching for a good eye cream and finally decided to try this one.. I must say I am very excited! I love this cream and want to repurchase it and try another products of the brand.

Before I used it I suffered from tear sacs, dark circles around the eyes and my skin was red. It was the result of my experience with Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. Luckily I got a sample and could test for a couple of days, because I played with the thought of buying it, but after such bad symptoms I definitely won’t. Yes, there are Korean products which are, let me say, “not so good”. Maybe my skin had an allergic reaction on some of the ingredients.

Pros

  • very light texture
  • good absorbtion
  • well moisturizing
  • feels good on skin
  • no redness
  • no tear sacs
  • no dark circles
  • very nice soothing
  • nourishing
  • regenerating
  • skin has a nice colour and looks healthy

Cons

None

Neutral

It reduces wrinkles, BUT only small and not deep.

Conclusion

Like it!

I would say it is good for girls between 20 and 35 years, when there are no wrinkles or they are small. It suits also for women over 35, when their wrinkles aren’t deep (always choose your treatment according to your needs and not your real age).

All in one a very good treatment. If you girls wanna try German cosmetics and don’t know what to choose, this is a very good stuff.

I recommend.

Stay beautiful 🙂
