Nothing highlights the real age of a woman than her hands. Who doesn’t want soft and smooth hands and healthy nails for the whole life? I definitely want! On the other side that all means CARE and much. I thought, I’m ready to go this way and waiting for the results.
In fact I take my hand and nails care for as important as my facial daily care. I always check before I buy a hand cream in other blogs, in small reviews. I’m playing safe for all the cases, because I do want to know I’m buying a working stuff and is it worth its costs. This time I wasn’t disappointed at all.
NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Hand Renew Cream
First of all I tried this amazing hand cream from NIP+FAB, a UK brand I found by searching for body exfoliating creams. BTW, I discovered recently a lot of British cosmetics and am really impressed how good they are, but it depends mostly on the price: the expensive once are better working than cheapest.
Back to the point, the skin on hands needs to be exfoliated too, according to the same concept like for face and body for renewall, preventing from pigmentation and better absorption of cosmetics. So I looked for and found only this cream. It seems to be, that there’re not many on the market. Hence, a big big, big thank to NIP+FAB !
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycolic Acid, Ammonium Acryloydimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Stearic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Carbomer, Lactic Acid, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Limonene, Parfum(Fragrance), Aloe Barbadensin Leaf Juice Powder, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Disodium EDTA, Salicylic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Silica, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citral, Linalool.
– three acids – glycolic, lactic and salicylic – for exfoliating
– glycerin, aloe leaf powder, coconut oil for moisturizing
What should it do? – exfoliate and moisturize at the same time. Sounds crazy enough by containing two strong active ingredients like glycolic and salicylic acids, but possible by containning moisturizing components like aloe leaf powder, glycerin and coconut oil. The manufacturer promises rejuvenation and improving skin’ texture and tone.
This is an overnight cream. The manufacturer suggests to use it once or twice a week, for senitive skin once a week is enough.
My skin on hands is very dry since years. Long ago, I was so careless to my hands that washed dishes and clothes without gloves and now struggling with extreme dryness.
A flashy orange coloured tube of 75 ml. Well, really much for a hand cream. and I am glad it’ll last for a long time then you need only two small peas: one per hand.
This is more a fluid than a cream.
Tingling right after application for a minute or two, but literally soaks into the skin giving a nice moisturizing feeling. So, no greasy film is left after. The skin feels well hydrated and not at all dry or uncomfortable. Irritates not, but by using more than suggested can irritate and burn the skin. By frequent use makes the skin smoother, softer, improves texture.
My tip! Because the exfoliation process damages the skin’s own lipide barrier I use the days after this cream, hand creams on basis of oil and apply cold pressed oils under my hand cream. I prefer oils like maracuja seed oil or marula oil. This helps a lot to restore the lipide barrier and not to overdry the skin.
Overall, nice experience and big like. BTW, I use it on my feet too with similar results. Highly recommend.
1) THIS IS A NIGHT TREATMENT
2) WEAR SUNSCREEN THE DAY AFTER USAGE
3) FOR SENSITIVE SKIN (AND THIN DRY SKIN) APPLY ONCE A WEEK.
HOLIKA HOLIKA Healing Nails Finger Glove
This is a treatment for (hand)nails and cuticles. Little sheets infused with caring solution. 10 pieces, each for a finger.
Tear off the sheets before usage.
The sheets are suitable to work with smartphones and tablets wearing it.
Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 60, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Primula Veris Extract, Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract, Veronica Officinalis Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Betaine, Raffinose, Inositol, Hyaluronic Acid, Histidine, Glutamine, Glycine, Lysine, Arginine, Cysteine, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopheryl acetate, Allantoin, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Trideceth-6, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.
OK, it’s full pretty much with natural extracts and oils which should somehow be enormous useful. Plus the wonder-nectar hyaluronic acid, plus glycerin, butylene glycol, allantoin, vitamin E and, and, and…
Task: strengthen and clean cuticles, (and I suggest the nails too, whatever else?), gives the nails silky glow.
After application: yes, the nails look much better, smoother and the promised glow is also there, I’d say they look healthier and the best thing, the solution has somehow brightening properties. My nails looked much brighter than before. However, the effect lasts only for a couple of days, for longer effect should have been used frequently, at least once a week. And it’s better to put them on right in the bed for 20 minutes, then a nice hand cream over and good dreams!
Kocostar Hand Moisture Pack
This is my first moisture-gloves pair. I felt very excited how would they feel and work.
Aqua, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Nelumbo Nucifera Seed Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Carbomer, Arginine, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium Edta, Parfum
This one is also full with all kinds of extracts.
Task: the plenty of useful extracts provide vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to rough and dry (and I think cracked too) hands for moisturizing and nourishing effect.
After applying: like I’ve wrote above, my hands got dry, because I did housework without protecting gloves. My hands said they’re thirsty, so I gave them to drink from the gloves. Yes, provides wonderful much moisture and the hands after are super soft and smooth. Very nice feeling, but very unconvinient at the same time. The best time to wear them by watching a movie. However, for optimal results should have been used at least two times a week, what is wayyyyyyy too expensive.
PRETTY & FRESH Finger and Nail Delight Pack
Pretty and Fresh is manufactured by Beautypuch a German beautybrand. It’s not available everywhere, I saw its products only at Douglas beautyshops. They offer a wide range of cosmetics prevailing sheetmasks (I’ve tried some of them). One day I found them at one of the big Douglas’ SALES and thought them first to be a Korean brand (because of the claim on the package)., but in reality it’s only an imitation of K-beauty products. And when one of the shop consaltants said, by passing next to me: “They’re very good.” , this was crucial enough for me for a purchase. According to my experience with the sheetmasks, they’re not bad, only the size is too big even for european faces, and the sheets are very heavy infused and perfumed.
I decided to write a review, because I could hardly find one for this brand. Maybe it’ll be helpful for someone who’s looking special for them.
This is a finger and nail (plus cuticule) treatment, similar to the Holika Holika’s nail gloves I’ve reviewed above. The treatment includes two steps. Step 1 – cleansing with pads and step 2 – finger sheetmasks. Both of them are filled with all kinds of useful stuff, specially keratin, proteins, natural extracts and oils, hyaluronic acid and even collagen. Acoording to the manufacturer key ingredients: in pads – rice protein and for finger gloves – calendula extract.

What is it and how works
– the pads are 2 in 1 treatment for cleansing (and nourishing at the same time) nails, cuticula and the fingers and now it comes from what? from dirt! This is one of the things I couldn’t get at all. If this is supposed to be a nourishing treatment, I’d rather, no I always first wash my hands before using it! Who on earth uses a cream on a dirt face, for example!
– the gloves are common finger sheetmasks soaked in a nourishing solution. Strengthens fragile nails and prevents from breakage by frequent usage.
There’re 5 pads in the first sachet and 10 gloves in the second.
Unfortunately I couldn’t take a photo of the finger sheets.
The pads and the gloves are both made of cotton fabric, similar to those of the common cotton pads and facial sheetmasks. Both are heavy wetted with solution that it drops and very heavy perfumed with similar scent. Somehow I’ve expected this after using the sheetmasks) Its perfume is very sweetish, so some people can find the scent disturbing. It seems to smell of berries, flowers, summer fruits, exotic fruits at the same time.
They suggest to use all the 5 pads at once for a thoroughly cleansing, but I think two pads are enough, they’re too big and have too much solution. I simply wiped withe pads over the whole palm including nails. Give much foam by wiping.
The finger gloves should be worn for 15 -20 minutes. BTW, I found the Holika’s finger gloves of non-woven fabric much better, because these here tear off very soon, as they’re too thin. Plus, they are very wet and you can do anything untill the 20 minutes are over. The best thing to wear them by watching a movie and putting the hands in a plastic bag, so to avoid wet spots on clothes.
The Effect: I was very curious, after Holika’s treatment how good this one will work. The pads’ solution is very nice, softens the skin, moisturizes and nourishes. I’d like to use it every day under my handcream. The only manko, it’s sticky. The gloves amazingly nourish the nails and yes, they feel much stronger even after one use. But doesn’t make the nails smoother and brightens not like Holika’s.
Overall, I liked it even if it’s not so comfortable to use. Recommend for all who want to provide some vitamins and other useful components to hands and nails.
